Check out this article from Steve Bryant. I agree with him 100% that the Academy is completely off base demanding videos of the Oscars be removed from YouTube. They claim that no videos will 'whet people's appetite for next year's show'. I argue that having videos out there for free will do more to whet the palette of entertainment, maximizing the Academy's leverage for TV and web advertising sales next year.
