Why Does Google Hate Connecticut?

So today I read about a town in Minnesota that decided to get bent out of shape because of Google's Street View feature. For those who don't know, Street View involves vehicles with cameras attached to the roof being driven up and down streets, while panoramic pictures of the area are taken. This enables people to "zoom in" at street level to see the surrounding area of a place they may be looking.

This feature can be super-useful for people looking at a house, trying to find parking, or just looking at what a landmark nearby looks like so they know what to look for when they are in the area.

So North Oaks, MN didn't like the idea of maps of their streets being on the internet and decided to accuse Google of trespassing to get the images taken down. You can read the whole thing here.

My question is ... Why doesn't Google travel through ANY part of Connecticut? Check out this map. If you notice, the big blue spots are areas that Street View has travelled ... Providence, Albany, Boston, and New York City ... ALL of these maps stop short of the Connecticut border!!!

What is the deal, Google? You will travel podunk North Oaks, MN ... and NOT Connecticut? I can understand not wanting to drive your fancy camera cars through the mean streets of Hartford or Waterbury ... but not even Fairfield County? You have to be kidding.

OK, I'm done ... Comment if you will.
