Tonight on American Idol (Yeah ... I was watching it), Paula Abdul let a racial slur slip on the air ... She referred to a group of fans in the front area that was heckling the judges as "mutts" ... This term is used in a derogatory manner to describe a person of mixed racial decent.
It should be interesting to see how far this goes. Shouldn't we hold Paula Abdul to the same standard that we held Dog Bounty Hunter and Don Imus when they were caught using racial slurs. It doesn't matter if it "slipped", right?
I'm not saying I was personally offended ... I can just see the double standard.
