Thank You All!

Today was the 2008 MS Walk in West Hartford.  I was very happy when I checked my MS Walk page before the event this morning to find that my family had worked hard to get me over the top (Thanks, Eric!).

Together, Heather and I raised $1,776 towards MS Research and Care.  To put this into perspective, this much money can pay for:

  • Over 3 weeks of home care for a person with MS
  • About 5 months of physical therapy for a person with MS
  • Or 80 books for the MS Society's client library
Thank you all for your continued support of Heather and I's efforts towards this cause.  Don't forget, you can still give ... Visit my MS Walk to make your contribution.

Support the Fight Against MS

Why We Fight MS

Having multiple sclerosis means that you may not be able to walk when you wake up. Or that you may suddenly have impaired vision. Or that your memory will fail you for no apparent reason. The symptoms of MS are different, and devastating, for everyone - the only certainty is that it will affect yet another person every hour of every day.

Why I Walk

I've registered for the MS Walk because I want to do something for the people who have been diagnosed - and because I want to do everything to prevent more people from learning what it means to live with this disease.
My fiance's mother Kathi and my Aunt Denise have both been diagnosed with MS, and I walk with Heather for both of them.
Today, there is no cure for multiple sclerosis, and with a diagnosis occurring most frequently between the ages of 20 and 50, many individuals face a lifetime filled with unpredictability.

Why You Should Sponsor Me

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society will use funds collected from the Walk MS event to not only support research for a cure tomorrow, but also to provide programs which address the needs of people living with MS today.
It is my hope that you can at least match my personal contribution, if not double or triple it. Please help me make my goal!
Because we choose to walk for those who sometimes can't, because we choose to donate to the MS Walk, we are getting closer to the hour when no one will have to hear the words, "You have MS."
